I took my niece Nina to Cafe Lulec, located on Smith Street in Brooklyn. She requested Cafe Lulec's scrumptious pancakes for her birthday and being the good auntie that I am, I obliged. Together we headed downtown on a Wednesday afternoon. Of course we wore our Brunch Snob tees. Nina's pankcakes were topped with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and bananas. For me, the brunch experience starts the minute I walk into a restaurant or an eatery. If it's a place I haven't been to before, I take a quick glance at the environment and the patrons before I even speak to the host.
